Backlit foyer window- "Our school"
August 2007
Design by Deb Lowe in conjuction with children from the school
640mm x 1475mm
This window, sited to greet visitors as they enter the school, was designed using drawings made by a special art group of Year Six students. They took 'What school means to me' as their theme and the window features children engaged in different activities around the school prayer and the candles lit at assembly time. Self portraits of each member of the Art Group form a decorative border.
Acid etching and a wide range of glass painting techniques were employed in order to retain the personality and immediacy of the children's drawings.
