'The 150th anniversary window

Each light 480mm wide x 1730mm

Made in conjunction with the children of St Mary & St John's Primary school, the design aims to create a feeling of life, joy and hope.

The left light incorporates the school badge, the eco flag and the inscription. Below are pencils and a scroll of music representing imagination and creativity. There are also daisies, traditionally used to symbolise the innocence of Christ child and clover, representing the Holy Trinity. There are various plants and animals representing exploration and appreciation of the natural world. Images of childrens' hands holding an easter egg, a Christingle candle, a clasped prayer and a compass show aspects of childrens' lives through the church.

The right light shows a local landmark and tools for learning, a book showing the alphabet, numbers and mathematic symbols. The lower roundel shows images of the three parish churches. Below shows children's hands holding objects symbolising research, study and exploration.
