The quatrefoils in the left and right hand lights were designed to match the existing 1920's centre light which was restored as part of this project.

The quatrefoils depict countryside scenes chosen to compliment the landscape behind the pilgrim in the centre light. The scenes aim to symbolise the journey of a Christian and the stages that a pilgrim travels through his life.

The springtime scene shows a waterfall flowing into a clear pool with rushes, willow and colourful water plants. A swallow, a sign of spring swoops overhead.

The right hand light depicts a scene of harvest time. Fields of ripe wheat can be seen in the background framed by an oak tree. A butterfly, an image often used to symbolise resurrection, flies above.
