Apse window - 'The Light of the World' theme.

Five lights each 500mm x 2900mm

Designed for the curved apse of the school hall. Quoting from the clients' brief, 'We would like a window that you can stare into and it represents different things to different people'. From left to right each light represents aspects of the world around us:

1/ Rivers, moorlands and woods

2/ Cultivated land, cornfield and pastures

3/ Centre light - the golden Cross

4/ Rocks, mountains and deserts

5/ The seas

A sunburst radiates from the centre light, suggesting a cross. Each of the lights flanking the centre represent different aspects of Creation. Hidden among glass painted textures are thirty nine different creatures and plants. Humanity is represented in the form of a child's handprint.
