'New School Window'

The colourful flowers symbolise the site of the new school on the park - and just as flowers are planted and tended to, the children grow and bloom in the school, representing change and hope. Many flowers have a story to tell: Some represent the children, their faces surrounded by petals, the faces are multi-cultural, some wear headscarves.

Some elements symbolise Bolton's history - it's textile, weaving, cotton and steam.

Also some of Bolton's notable landmarks, the Town Hall, Hall i'th Wood, Macron Stadium, Rivington Pike Tower and Rivington Pigeon Tower in Lever Park.

At the top of the window red baloons float up into a clear blue sky; which recalls the release of the balloons at the schools official opening. It also refers to "going out into the world and reaching for the stars".
